Layar Looks to Create the App Store of Mobile Augmented Reality

AR company Layar announced it will allow developers of AR layers to monetize their creations on the Layar platform. The company boasts 375 active layers, 1200 layers in development, and over 1 million users of its application. Layar is not the first company to attract commercial AR content, but they are the first to create a platform for businesses to sell their content through Layar.

AT&T and Others Announcing Rival to Apple App Store

AT&T, Orange and Telefonica and also manufactures Phone manufacturers Samsung, LG and Sony Ericsson and others ( a total of twelve) will unite together and annouce their rival to the Apple App Store. The announcement is expected to take place at tomorrow’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. we dont know if there will be a singular app store or more likely single standard for apps on devices from multiple networks.

Notion Ink to have $1 Million competition to encourage development for Adam reader


Notion Ink is a Tegra-powered tablet in direct competition of the new Apple Ipad. Notion's tablet is still in production, but is expected to be released soon. It trumps the Ipad in almost every area. Multitasking, a swivel Camera, 20hrs battery, 1080p video out, Android OS and much more. To encourage development for the tablet, Notion Ink is throwing a contest with $1 million worth of prizes.
